    Windows XP visual customisation ?

Hi guys, I've been having a nose around to change the Visual look of Windows XP, not sure what they are actually called because there seems to be so many of them. You know how you can change your Display Properties etc.. by right clicking on your desktop. You can change to a different theme, ie Windows XP default, Windows XP classic etc... you can also choose a different colour setting too, so have the Windows XP default theme in Silver. Alternatively, you can change the appearance of Windows under the Advanced tab of 'Appearance'. But you cant change the colour of the taskbar or 'Start' button style and so on...

Can you guys recommend a program to change your Windows appearance, preferably without hogging all the system resources. I used to use one a long time ago called Talisman by Lighttek. But it seemed very complex and actually switched your Windows XP shell over to custom ones. All I want to do is play around with the way Windows looks with a tool that simply allows you to customise more than what Windows lets you do.

Any ideas? Ones to stay away from because of bugs?

    Cheers, M.

I tend to use Style XP as Windowblinds has always been a resource hog on mine

Yup. Style XP all the way. Once you've customised the appearance it doesn't have to run in the background and doesn't use any services.

Plus the default skin package it comes with is excellent, so you don't have to search for skins to download (which is always hopeless).

I'd upload an image but I'm at work and I don't have any ftp software.
