    Vampire Chronicle - Which version?

I'm faced with quite a dilema. Do I buy the dearer but apparently better Dreamcast version or the PSP version with a 16:9 ratio, slightly longer load times and, most importantly, portable?

Load times aren't much of a problem for me - I'm a patient man*

    NOTE: may not be true.

I find it awkward to play on the PSP, and prefer it on DC with an arcade stick, but it's still good fun.

Um, that was not a huge amount of help really.

I'd say DC, but that's just me.

PSP version should be great with the new adaptor for the D pad that comes with Street Fighter Zero 3. I personally would get both as the DC one is better to play at home on a big screen, and the PSP version gives you the oppurtunity to play on the move and hone those skills.

I think the PSP game is just stretched, not true 16:9 as such.

The Tower Mode makes the PSP game. It's the main thing really, and it'll keep you coming back. As far as combat goes though, the PSP game is much more of a pain.

I'd go for the dc one by virtue of a better pad. Fighting games on the psp are awful to play with that d pad and the peripheral that comes with sfa3 may not deliver. And hey, its dc you can't go wrong with that.

If you've got a JPN PS2 then there's the Vampire Chronicle Collection. Just mentioning it incase you didn't know about it

The PSP version is stretched not true widescreen and you say you don't mind the load times, but you will once you realise just how long they are.

The PSP is indeed crap for fighters too, but the tower mode is pretty damn great so it almost makes up for the fact that it plays like crap.

At the end of the day though, the PSP is still extreamly rubbish for fighters, so get the DC version.

Is vampire chronicle a sort of best bits of the darkstalkers games put into one game?

May not be a problem depending on how your Dreamcast is hooked up, but one downside of the Dreamcast version is that it doesn't support RGB.

But itll still be 20 times the size of the psp screen!
