Hope this works for you but i don't want to come across as being mean but if it'll cause you to lag please stay off as i'd imagine most games you will be kicked out of if your lagging.

No, you need min 256K for Xbox live.

It works fine mate, I started off using it and had no troubles at all.

Would be advisable to get the 600k service though
