Help creating a Mailing List in Outlook 2000

Ok, I?ve struggled with this for the last hour or so and seem to be getting nowhere.

I?ve been asked at work to create a mailing list in Outlook 2000 containing 81 people so we can send them information all at the same time without having to enter all 81 addresses manually each time. I?ll be honest that I thought this would be straightforward but it?s proving to be anything but.

I have set up a Distribution List in Outlook and entered the names and email addresses of all the people. This list has then appeared in Contacts (under my Folder List). If I right click on the entry I can select ?New Message to Contact? which brings up a new mail message. The ?To? box contains the name of the Distribution List but after I type out the message and click send I got an error box stating:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Check Names
Microsoft Outlook does not recognise ?[name of distribution list]?

    Would you like to:
Create a new address for ?[name of distribution list]?
    Or
Change to (under this is a box with [No Suggestions] written in it.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any suggestions. I was supposed to get these things sent out by the end of the day :/

I have checked a few websites for help but can't seem to find a solution.

    Thanks

f you're on a network, you'll notice that you have a contacts folder in your mailbox, and possibly one in your personal folders down below. Try copying it from one to the other.
