I forgot to add, someone had sent me MSN6, I have not opened it yet...just in case its something nasty...I really can't tell if its genuine or not...

There is indeed such a version ( allows you to create your own smilies apparently ) but it was only released for a short time in Beta, which is prob why you haven't heard of it.

Then again, I always recommend against opening files unless you're 100% sure of who sent them.

I just installed it, and its ok so far...but apart from what you said about the smiley faces its all the same...anyway

There is a MSN messenger version 6.0 (still in beta, last time I checked). For those of us l33t enough to use the non-****e, advert-free windows messenger, the latest version that MS insist I have is 4.7

So there you go, like.

I steer clear of MSN Messenger and use Trillian instead. So much easier than having three different messenger programs open at the same time.

Just been exploring into MSN 6, and its pretty cool, being able to view each others pictures live on your MSN box, also the new background feature is great as I was getting sick of the while screen of the old version

the best part of msn messenger imo is the fact that you can play games with others on your contact list provided they have msnmgr6
