Metal Gear PS2/PSP link up

What's the deal with this? I can't get it to work.

I'm following the instructions in the Ac!d booklet but the link option is not appearing in the MGS3 bonus menu.

I've tried all different sequences of booting the consoles, and putting the PSP into USB mode before selecting the bonus menu etc. Nothing. The PSP complains if I disconnect either end of the cable in USB mode so obviously it is recognising both devices.

If they took it out, why leave the menu option in Ac!d? That game was released after Snake Eater wasn't it?

I really doubt it, subsistence hasn't even been confirmed for a PAL release, and the instructions/menu in Acid both say 'MGS3'.

Sorry should have made that clear, these are both the UK versions of the games.

Sussed it, the instructions are absolutely dire - they state you have to have finished MGS3 and that you need to select the MGS link option first.

In truth you have to have finished Acid, and you have to select the Acid link option first. Did that and bingo.
