PC Changes??

I am thinking of flogging my laptop and then build a PC.

But, I keep reading about changes in PC technology:

What are these changes and shall i hold on?

I think you'll need a mobo that supports PC Express for graphics cards and future upgradability coz that's the new standard. The rest of it I dunno, PCs are stupid and boring and expensive.

If you hold on you'll never build one. Whatever you buy/build will be out of date in 6 months anyway. I'm happy with my out of date P4 2.8. It runs the software i want without any problems.

I'd shop around as you usually can buy a PC for less than a homebuild.

PCI-E is a must have, get an SLI board to ensure that you can update the gfx to 2 cards in the future

THere is a new generation of chips coming out this year, but yeah like ginger says in this game if you wait youll never get one

if you like the whole laptop thing you can get a bloomin good gaming pc nowadays as well as the whole mobile desktop replacement is really in swing nowadays
