My Jap Saturn won't switch on. Help!

Hey folks, I'm having trouble with my Jap Saturn it's a first gen, grey one with blue buttons, I've got it chipped/switched for both multi-regions and 50/60hz.

When I switch it on the red access light blinks on and off and nothing else appears to happen, I can't hear the disc spinning, any idea whats up? Any help much appreciated thanks in advance.

when you turn it on with the cd door open does the lense mechanism moves too?

No, when I switch it on the power light comes on, then about a second later the access light starts flashing, theres no whirring, no life, nothing.

This happened about a year ago, and I got it going that time, but can't for the life of me remember what I did, but I'm sure it's fixable.
