    playasia and refunding PayPal payments...

    Hi there! I placed a preorder for some DS stuff with playasia and as I don't have a Visa, I paid upfront via PayPal. However now I have decided I need the money more than I need the games and so I have asked for a refund and cancelled my order.

    Now my order is on 'Hold' status and I have yet to receive any news on my refund. Im not particularly worried yet but I was just wondering if anyone else has ever been in this situation?

    Anyone's input is greatly appreciated

    I had a slightly different issue with them when ordering a load of cables. Item took ages in the post and in the end I filed a claim with Paypal because it seemed like it got lost. After a week I was refunded what I paid.

    Wait a bit, and if you don't hear anything from them file a claim, or if they send you what you ordered, just sell it on - not really worth the hassle of sending it back to HK is it?

      I ordered a playstation game that they couldnt get in stock and I got the refund about a week after I asked for one. They said the reason for the delay was because it got sent to the accounting department. My order also said HOLD.

        I ordered a psp gigapack from yesasia, paid for it through paypal then subsequently found a psp deal from chrisjraby from the classifieds here so cancelled the order - I contacted yesasia through their online support form, they sent me an email back to say they were checking with their accountants about my paypal payment. About three days later I got my paypal amount refunded but I lost about ?10 as paypal (obviously they want everything they can get) converts the amount back from dollars to sterling.
