Removing Scratches on Gamecube Lid ?

My firend has a gamecube with some scratches on the clear plastic circle on the outside of the lid and I was wondering if there was anything I could use to remove / make them look better. They are not deep scratches just surface ones by the look of them.

You can just unclip that lid from the inside, then I guess you could use something like brasso or Tcut to polish out the scratches

Open the gamecubes lid, then look on the underside of it, there are 2 little black clip things, you squeeze them together gently and then push them in gently.

The black disc on the top should then be lifted up a little, and you can then just remove it

This only works on the 1st revision Gamecubes, the newer ones have fixed faceplates.

I did wonder, but its only the really new ones that have it, any made from the begining of last year I think, probably the same ones that don't have the digital AV out
