    Nay problem. A 100 year old house is most likely to have floorboards. There is a technique to cutting them to get them up without leaving a mess. I'm sure a google search will help you there.

    The floorboards themselves will rest on joists which will then probably rest on brick stacks. You have to feed the wire around this underground maze. The best way I found is to lift the floorboards at the point you want the wire to go under then come out again and then tie the end of one speaker wire to a flexible long plastic rod. I used an old curtian rail.
