What Netgear router do you use with LIVE?

Has per title....what router do you use with Xbox live (360)

My Rp114 has been found to be incompatible, so maybe this?http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...oduct_uid=8894

      That's a switch, not a router, surely?

And are you sure that your RP114 is incompatible? Look at the post on May 30 here: http://www.mdcbowen.org/cobb/archive...es_gamers.html

From that at least it seems that you can use Live with the original Xbox on that router, so perhaps there is just something wrong with the config for your 360?

Fair enough. Though it's a bit weird that it says it's incompatible but that guy I linked to has got it to work... There are a few workarounds listed if you Google for rp114 xbox live. For example: http://www.apritch.myby.co.uk/xbox.htm
It's old, but perhaps worth a try.

And a switch isn't the same as a router if you have multiple computers wanting to share the Internet connection (unless you have signed up for multiple IPs or something). If you are only using the Xbox though you shouldn't have a problem.

To go back to your original question, if you want an officially compatible Netgear router, why don't you try one of the ones listed as compatible here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/conne...terlanding.htm ?

Yep my router is on that page as being incompatable.
Also all the 1's they list has being compatible are wireless, and i dont want a wireless 1.

I have 3 others computers to connect to net aswel.
My xbox360 will share with my laptop tho, i just swap the cable over.

              No they ain't

Some of them are standard 4 port routers, like the
              Linksys BEFSR41

Ive used the NetGear DG834G router/gateway on Xbox LIVE with no real issues for over two years.

It isnt Xbox certified compatible but if you make sure you put the Xbox IP as the DMZ and turn of uPnP it works perfectly.

I cant put the xbox IP as the DMZ as its the same as my laptop ( i swap the cable over when i want to play....)
If i put it has the DMZ then it stops me veiwing alot of websites.

I've got a Netgear DG814 which I believe has now been superseded by the much smaller and better looking DG834. It's been running a handful of PCs and Macs as well as two Xboxes and now two 360s for about two years and I've had no problems. I recently connected it to a Netgear access point so it now runs a wireless network as well.

I got the new model Netgear DG834G which I've had for about a year.
It runs flawlessly and I've got it running on 2 PC's as well being able to go online with my Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP and DS...

Get one, you won't regret it!
