Wow, those new slimlines seem to be incompatible or have issues with quite a few games (even PS2 games) - Initial D, Shutokou Battle 01, Racing Battle C1 GP, Tekken 5 being some of them...

Yesasia kindly put a UK AC travel adapter in with the console, so I didn't have to fart around trying to find a figure8 cable anywhere, which is nice

Is there a newer model than the SCPH-7500X? If so, I dunno but yes the PAL version also has issues with certain games. Playstation.com has some PDFs explaining which games are affected.Comment

The funny thing is, I could have sworn I had a slimline machine that played Initial D just fine

Maybe it was an earlier model (SCPH-7000X). It's the newer one that seems to have the most problems.Comment
