Xbox 360 media canter extender HD help please!

Hello guys,

Ok I have a little problem. I have MCE2005 connected with a 360, all working great with MP3's and WMV's, I have also played .TS files before. However I downloaded a large 5gig HD file from newzbins, unrar'd it and used quickpar to fill in the missing bits- but for some reason I can't watch the file on the 360. What happens is the video fills the screen but just stays blank with no sound, then an error message comes up: 'MEDIA CENTER EXTENDER ERROR' & I have to restart the 360.

I presume it is a TS file but there was no file extention in the videos name, it just said the name of the show. So I renamed it with .ts and .mpg but no luck still. As I have an old PC I can't even test it out as it won't run HD stuff due to its age. When I try it with Media Player there is no image just an audio stream of the show.

If anybody has any advice or knows that I am doing something stupid & wrong please help! On a completely unrelated note I love 24, and having bought all of the DVD boxsets can't wait to buy series 5 when it's released.

Check the page on newzbins you got it for, people usually leave comments if they are having problems with a file so others may be in the same boat as you, or read the .nfo file in notepad to see if it sheds any light on what the actual file extension should be, if you dont have any luck with that. Just go through every known file extension you can think of until it works!

Try .x264 and .wmv also...

I know there are people that got the file to work on their 360 but I can't seem to get in touch with them, the .x264 and .wmv don't work either

This is my first time using newzbins & quickpar so I guess it could be something I messed up... thanks for the advice anyway Rossco
