    Windows Media Center/360

    This just WONT WORK!!!

Got it all installed, downloaded the setup files from xbox.com , started doing it all, was going fine, got to the part where you need to input the code you get from your 360 and it just doesn't detect the 360 from there on in.

And now every time I try again, the 360 just attempts to load MC and the black loading screen with logo appears and just stays there forever, doesnt give me a new code to try again or anything!?

Any ideas? Anyone else have trouble installing it all?

I don't even get that far, and can't find the topic I asked for help in again.

I got this working last night with no problems but on my setup I've given the 360 a static IP thats a DMZ on my router plus I turned off my firewall (currently using Zonealarm) for the time being but I had when testing but I had also put the 360 IP address into the trusted zone in Zonealarm anyway.

After installing .NET 1.1 and SP1, rollup 2 MCE update and then the PCSetup for media connect it all just worked after that and during the setup process where it asks you for the code from the Xbox360 when I Alt+Tabbed back to the desktop I noticed the System Tray had already acknowledged the 360 on the network.

I guess my best advice is make sure the 360 has open access on the network beforehand, uninstall and then retry?
