    Scart to component cable

Mate of mine has this cable...

Naturally the three wire end is for plugging into a component device, but what does the scart end accept as input? Any ideas? He's trying to connect some devices to a plasma but it has no RGB input (scart or otherwise).

OR (as I am suspecting) is it a cable for connecting to a component device that for some reason only has a scart input, or is it for component output to an RGB device (one way)?

I've had a rumble about... just wondering if the three wire end is still RGB and that Germans seem to use the word "komponent" accidently for RGB. Any thoughts?

Some TVs (Loewe spring to mind) have no component inputs, but will accept component through a scart socket. You can't just plug the scart end into an RGB socket, the display would have to support YUV through scart. Also Kiss DVDs can output component through their scart sockets, so the reverse of this cable would be required.
