How do you save your controller set up?

Each time I play I have to reassign the up, down, left and right to the analogue stick as it resets to the default control pad and I can't see an option to save settings. :?

Make sure that you are not changing the controls for one game only and that your changing the General Inputs.

Other than that, dunno. There may be a config file somewhere that you could change manually by FTPing it to your PC perhaps.

I am using the General settings each time.

It only saves the config on exit, so you need to make sure you exit mame rather than soft reset the XBox.

This caught me out the other day too.

Just to be sure, how do you 'exit' MAME as opposed to 'soft reset'?
