I'm looking to buy a new monitor soon and the Samsung Syncmaster 204B has caught my eye. The monitor has eveything I want, high response time, good contrast, it's 20.1" and it can pivot 90 degrees so I can play my Dreamcast shooters in TATE mode. The only thing I'm worried about is the high res ironically. I understand that LCD's only look good in their native res which would be 1600x1200 but wouldn't that make everything too small? Or am I wrong in assuming it wouldn't look good in 1280x1024?
I'm used to 1280x1024 and while the screen is 20.1" as opposed to the 19" I'm used to I'm still worried. I won't be able to test it myself because no stores in my area have the monitor in store and I'll be buying it online.
So if anyone has experience with using a monitor of this size at that resolution could give me some impressions I'd be most grateful.
