How much would Gamestation give me for Dreamcast and Megadrive stuff?

    Any ideas?

Having a bit of a clearout and have got the following:

    Unboxed Dreamcast (DC) console
    Boxed DC Keyboard
    Boxed DC Race Controller
    Boxed DC Mouse
    Boxed DC VMU
    3 x controllers
    2 x VMU
    1 x Race Controller

    Unboxed original Megadrive
    2 x controllers
Stack of games in varying conditions

Thanks in advance for any help. Just looking to trade this in for more Gamestation credit towards my Xbox 360 (got ?88 credit to use already).

I don't think you'd get much for that lot - they sell DC's pretty cheap as it is. I think last time I traded in controllers they gave me a quid. If any of the MD games you've got are rare/collectible (like Phantasy Star 2,3,4 or Landstalker etc.) you might get a decent trade on them. Some of the stuff you've got there would go for more money on eBay than some of the paltry trade prices you'd get at GS.

Jazz is right mate, don't give all that good stuff to Gamestation, those shops are a p*ss take when it comes to how much they will give you.

Try and sell the stuff on here, you never know you might get good money!!!

        Good Luck

You can check on CEX's website to see what their trade-in is (well, if there's one nearby, or GS will say no) and get Gamestation to match it (or beat it, as they promise to do).

Gamestation use almost an exactly 30% mark up from the trade in prices.

Take a look on their website, then just remove 30% from the price to get a good idea

That's applies more for new stuff. Older/retro stuff gets bugger all really unless it's actually rareish stuff. Don't forget that pretty much all DC stuff is BOGOF instore so they are selling most titles @ 2 for a fiver.

Got a list of the MD games now - any ideas?

                MD games are as follows:

                Sonic 2 (boxed with manual)
                Sonic 3 (boxed with manual)
                FIFA 97 (boxed with manual)
Mickey and Donald's World of Illusion (boxed with manual)
Streets of Rage (boxed, no manual)
NHLPA 93 (box in bad condition, no manual)
Arnold Palmer Tournament Gold (boxed with manual)
                Desert Strike (boxed, no manual)
                Jungle Strike (cart only)

Probably less than a fiver (at Gamestation.) The Sonic 3's probably the most desirable, though with the PS2/GC/XB collections out it might have dropped in value but it might be worth checking eBay. You might as well smash the FIFA, Mega Games and NHLPA with a hammer rather than face a derisory sneer from a Gamestation employee - or give them to a charity shop.

(Actually, Sonic 1,2 and 3 might sell on eBay as a bundle but I don't know for how much.)
