Does Play Asia still=Deff Customs Charges?

    Hi,
haven't ordered from PA in several months after the Mushihime farse.Just wondering if it is still the case that you will deff be hit for charges if you order stuff from them.
Used to be a time when I sent them a mail after I had placed an order requesting them to underdeclare the item and mark it as a gift and they did just that.Do they still meet requests like these or totally ignore them now?
Any info would be greatly appreciated as I would love to put an order in for PS2 Ibara and Ibara ost and figure but don't want to get stung by customs.
    Huge thanks

As I've come to experience is that they mark down consoles max 50%. I've yet to pay custom charges on games, I think they mark games down without needing to be told so.

If you want to doubley sure, order from Yes-Asia as you'll never get stung by the dreaded import tax from them.

They mark the full amount on the packaging in my experience, whether you ask them to or not. (last few times I asked for 50% declaration it was ignored).

Not worth the hassle. Ibara is cheaper form yesasia.

          Hi,
thanks so much for the info fella's.
Yeah Kubrick thats the kind of practice I had heard about as well.I was thinking about using Yes Asia but my last game preorder from them didn't exactly go smoothly either.I preordered Jap Wanda 2 months in advance of the release and the release date came and went and it took a further 2 weeks for them to get stock of the Jap version.Hardly a disaster but a bit of a pisser.Having said that my dvd orders with them have been as smooth as butter everytime.
Thing is the Ibara OST is a great price at Play Asia and only appears to be avalible there at the mo.I'am guessing with the figure included the box is going to be quite big and the likely hood of me getting hit for taxes is going to be quite great.I really hate paying customs charges.
          Thanks famitsu1

Is there anywhere that sells US games that guarantees against custom charges like yes-asia?

Tbh, I think that's a perfectly valid response from PA.

It would be interesting to see the result if a marked down item was lost in the post. I'll continue to use PA as they've always been good in the past. I also helps my postal service is so ****e they forget to charge me any excess from time to time.

If you ask PA to mark an item down, and it gets lost, then they can/will only refund the price it was marked as.

EDIT: I knew I should have looked at the first page of this thread, where the above was clearly stated.

It's a bit hard to claim they're gifts when PLAY-ASIA.COM is written all over the parcel, and they're arriving every other week

Actually my copy of //Ouendan got lost in the post from yesasia (which I assume was marked down) and they sent out a replacement immediately without any fuss (I actually tried to e-mail saying that this was not necessary yet and I would phone my post office, but they actually insisted)
                              very good customer service
