PS2 chipping question

I am desperate for a multiregion PS2. Unless anyone wants to trade or PX for my Jap and PAL console and chipped PS1, chipping one of my own consoles is the only option.

Does anyone know of anywhere within a 20-30 mile radius of Southampton where I can get an old-style PS2 chipped?

If there is anyone on here who knows anyone let me know.

Someone 'ere had an Infinity chip, does that work in a chubby PS2? Swap disc/HDLoader too much hassle for you, big fella?

Yes, can't be arsed with that swap disc thing. Just want a console, like my mighty Jap DC, that boots anything and everything without fart-arsing around, y'know?

I hear that the PS2s are quite tricky to chip. The innards are rather complicated, it would seem.

Yeah, it's just really, really small... not so difficult like bit just tricky if you're a bit wobbly

HDLoader is OK though as you're playing games from the HDD then (what's this "Loading..." you speak of?) Boots anything too but you got to put games on there to begin with I know what you mean though (having other universal platforms, DC included). I'd call teh Bald Bouncer, is it? Start a wanted thread on rllmuk, Captain, as it gets more traffic and you're likely to get what you want there.
