    Google Pack

Came across this just now, thought Id share -

13 programs in one download, its easy to deselect ones you might not want also. Have a look, might be a few apps there you wasnt aware of, like I found when I looked at it.

Yeah, I saw that a while ago. It made the blog rounds not long ago.

It's not bad, certainly a decent pack for someone who doesn't really know too much about third-party PC software.

Having said that, if you're going to install Firefox, you don't need the IE toolbar. I'd also stay the **** away from Norton and put AVG Free on instead. It also doesn't include a firewall, which is something that seems to be missing.

Oh, and the freeware Foxit PDF is infinitely superior to the ridiculously bloated Adobe Reader software.

I quite like the Google Desktop sidebar, whilst its search facility is far better than windows own, and Im getting to like Picasa also. I didnt bother with the Nortons (have it already) or IE stuff like you say.

It would be nice to incorporate MSN contacts into the Sidebar also I reckon.

I adore Picasa. It's great for managing loads and loads of photos.
The RAW processing isn't too bad. It's not tweakable like Adobe Camera Raw, but it tends to produce pretty pleasing results by itself. The editing options are exactly as simple as they need to be, which is good for when I want to preview how a photo's going to look before I fire up Photoshop.
