How does 360 Calender work?

I've asked offical 360 forums, I've asked else where but I thought I would come to my number one place and know someone here should know!

I am confused.....

You goto the calender events page and it lists games and days to play to win prizes... but how do we win?

I mean for an example once it said PDZ for 360 said this-

Saturday 21 January
All day
Winning Weekend: Perfect Dark Zero?
To be in with a chance to win this months amazing prize...
Xbox 360: Play Perfect Dark Zero?
Xbox: Play Battlefield 2: Modern Combat?




Click the links and it takes you to game details of the game not the competation.

So what do we do? Just log on and play all day and be randomly picked to win? Or does it pick top players from overall since 360 been launched or just for today?

Do we join certain servers do we sign up somewhere? or fill our details in?

Not very detailed to be honest.

So what do we do?
Some say play the game the weekend or date shown and your randomly picked as a winner but whats so fun about that?
i thought we sign up and have like knock out tourneys as random generated teams etc...

People say play the game just random all weekend.. but this don't seem right?!?!?
Others say sign up, but there is no place to sign up!

Think MS need to fix the calender site with more info... really poor from them.

Anyone know!??!?!

I didn't even know that competitions were going on yet, thanks for the head's up, can anyone elaborate on this for us as I would really like to get involved as well, though I have absolutely no chance of winning the competition,heh.
