    CD scratch repairs

I have a few games and CDs that have surface scratches on them.I bought a cheap Disc Clinic CD cleaner but all this does is clea off any finger prints off of the discs.

We used to have a Thatz DVD near to us that offered a disc cleaning service and seeing as all the secondhand DVDs I bought off of them were spotless, their system must have worked. They have since closed down just when I needed their services!

Are there any commercially available CD cleaners that actually work?

I used a Disc Doctor once. What a frickin' joke. The thing wiped out the scratches that were there and lightly covered the entire surface of the disc in hairy-looking scratches.

I don't think there's such a thing as a cheap scratch-removal system. Try sending a disc you don't care about too much away to professionals?
