Are they any other versions of one of my favourite puzzle games?

Just been thinking recently that one of my favourite puzzle games EVER was Mario's Picross on the SNES (or was it Gameboy?)

Are there any other console variations of this game and is there even a PC or a Nintendo DS (it'd be perfect for this,) equivalent?

There are two Game Boy releases. I've only played the first one which is good. The sequel was Japan only and is hard to get hold of. There's a fantastic Super Famicom version (again I think Japan only) which I've spent hours on. Has hundreds of puzzles and Wario mode where your not told of any mistakes - which makes it super hard. Awesome.
