Saurian modded RGB only displaying B&W

Just bought a saurian modded rgb lead for the gamecube from Legendary, but it's just outputting in B&W. I've tried it on several tv's and get the same result. I know it's not the tv's because i have another modded rgb cable i bought a while ago, and it works fine on all the tested tv's.

Any ideas?

You have another Modded gcn RGB cable? at it works fine? then it will prob be the fault of the other cable.

I got the RGB cable mainly because my old CRT tv (from ages ago) did not support the Ntsc colour palette, just PAL60. so when i used my US Gamecube (with compo****), the picture was black and white.

I managed to break two gamecube (one PAL, one NTSC) simultaniously by using one UK PSU for both consoles (to avoid messy step downs) and changing the connection of the PSU between both consoles while STILL plugged into the wall.

This is a really bad idea. It resulted in both GC's no longer outputting sound with the PAL one no longer outputting RGB and the NTSC one no longer outputing YPbPr.

got them both fixed though.

maybe something similar has happened to your GC and it too no longer outputs YPbPr. test it with the working cable and if that works then it's prob the original cables fault. soldering comes loose from time to time.

gah, you had me worried my cube was gonna be broken there. just tested it with my original modded rgb cable and the picture is fine. so it's not the cube either.
