    Largest Hard Drive for Xbox

I'm about to get a replacement hard drive for my chipped xbox and was wondering what was the largest hard drive that the xbox would take? Is it 120 GB?

also any recommendations for spefic drives would be most welcome too.

    thanks in advance

I think 137 Gigabyte is the max an Xbox will take, so a 140 Gig HD would be fine.

Best drives to use on the xbox are the Samsung Spinpoint "V" series.. 5400RPM, can get them at Dabs.com

They are lockable (so you can use them on XBOX live), they run cool and quiet and the speed difference is negligible compared to 7200RPM drives.

Another alternative is The Maxtor diamondmax 9 series (7200). However they are too loud for my liking and run quite hot.... but remains a popular choice due to availabilty and price.

Don't go with Maxtor 5400's as most of them are not lockable.
