Will i get more cash for my Ps2 if i sell it..

Will i get more cash for my Ps2 if i sell it with the original games pads mem card various cables if my PS2 is fitted with a mod chip or if i sell my setup as it is without a modchip.

How much should i be looking for my PS2 setup as it is and then if it was fitted with a good mod chip.

Old chunky style PS2 schp-30003 hardly used not a bit of dust anywhere on/in the PS2.

Comes with 1 original black controller .

1 official red 8meg memcard.

5 original games.

Gran Turismo 4
God Of War
Smackdown Vs Raw 2006
Tekken 5
MGS 3 Snake Eater.

1 Scart Cable
1 Game Component Cable.

All games are in mint condition and complete with manuals.

At a glance, I'd say it's worth around ?150 only due it being chipped though as unchipped PS2s aint worth dick these says. Probably less if it isn't boxed though as some people like that sort of thing.

Had a Matrix infintywith the latest 1.75 bios mos fitted over the weekend so my Pal PS2 has become a multi regional dvd player plays original pal/ntsc games and of course backups on dvdr/cdr.

So how much is me setup worth now its modded ?

Depends on if you can shift any, erm, backups with it. Probably not much more. I'd hazard a guess at about ?100 but remember, you can't really sell it as modded on eBay unless carefully worded Guarenteed at least ?80 though, I reckon. Charge ?20 delivery (costs ?7 to post with a few games, had one recently) I don't advocate piracy but if you stick a couple of well know games in (Need for Speed, FIFA?) then you may get some more interest.

I noticed that the games you mention are quite cheap around town, with all but Smackdown Vs Raw 2006 in 2 for ?20 deals in a certain high street GAME store

You have a couple of problems with that machine......

It is old, now I know you say that you have hardly used it, but it is still old and people will think you are jut saying that, the lasers, more so on chipped machines tend to go, in fact not seen many chipped 3000 series still going strong.

It is also black and the old style, alot of people do prefer silver and obviously prefer the slimline model too.

How much did you pay to have the chip fitted??
I bet before you could get ?80 for the machine and games and now you would probably get ?120 absolute tops.
I would try and sell the machine for ?120 with the memory card, RGB and controller. (is it boxed? If not ?100)
Then sell the games seperate, you could get ?15 for the component cable as well.

I traded a couple old PSP games for the matrix Chip (coded arms and world tour soccer) and a friend of mine fitted it for nout.As for the Ps2 itself yes its an old 30003 series but it realy has hardly been used and the guy who modded it also checked first to see if it could be modded and also checked the lens and he told me because of its lack of use the lens is very strong at the mo.
