    GF4 Ti4600 Video Capture....?

I've got the card above, and in the manual it says that I can use the card for video capture etc using S-video. Naturally this is much better quality than AV (though I do have a normal video card) so I wanted to use it. However, as soon as I install the drivers, they come up as faulty. Immediately. It makes me wonder
    a) whether my card supports video-in
and b) whether my card is actually faulty.

I've done everything suggested by the help, even removing and replacing the card, but it does nothing . I've tried downloading new drivers, but there are no new ones. So does anybody know what's wrong? Has anybody had the same or similar problem? Or is it just that my card is b0rked?

I've had no problems with mine...

Could you be more specific about what you mean by "faulty"?

I take it we're talking nvidia wdm capture drivers here...

Right. I have nVidia 1.22 WDM drivers (the latest ones) and MyVIVO drivers (the latest ones) as well. The installation goes fine, but as soon as the install finishes it says "the device cannot start". I doubt it's the installation of the card, as it came pre-installed, and I even removed it and re-attached it to check.

Hmmm... are you running windows 2000/XP if so call up the device manager, expand "Sound, video and game controllers" and tell me what nVidia WDM devices it lists related to TV-in/Video capture.

        I've got:

        nVidia WDM A/V Crossbar
        nVidia WDM TVAudio Crossbar
        nVidia WDM TVTuner
        nVidia WDM Video Capure (Universal)

If that all checks out do a Google for the latest version of virtua dub... run the program go to file->capure mode and see if it auto selects the correct capture device (i.e. the only one on your system.

Let me know how you get on...

Those are the exact four I have, except the Video Capture Device has an error thing. It says "the device could not be started" which makes me think that it's a hardware problem rather than software.
