Dreamcast VGA Woes

Can't seem to get a signal from my DC through vga. I've tried 2 different cables and 2 different vga boxes,and still nothing.

My dreamcast outputs an rgb signal,so does this mean it's okay,or could it output one and not the other?

The tv is 3 months old,if that. A Panasonic kv32lxd500. Spose it's possible the pc input could be knackered,but i hope not.

(Does the vga box have to have the audio connected in order for it to output a picture?

I suggest testing it on a pc monitor, that way you can see if it's the tv that's defective or the DC's output.

Is the console NTSC? I had to try a couple of VGA boxes before I found one that worked on a Japanese machine.
