xbox stuck on component output ! help !

my xbox will only output a component signal, ive loaded up the dashboard and disabled all the 480 720 1080 settings and set the enigmah program to pal but if i plug in my adv scart lead i get a rolling picture, i only get a proper picture if i have the hidef pack plugged in. even with the modchip turned off !!
help !!!

The picture shouldn't roll at all

Have you tried just setting it to PAL 50?

my tv is a panasonic lcd 26lxd52
i only used the hidef pack to try out xbmc in hidef
but when i put all the settings back to normal and plugged the scart in the picture is unwatchable

Does the advance scart still work even with it being in NTSC mode?

If anything I'd say perhaps the Cable is faulty or you have managed to change some other settings in the eeprom that you didn't mean to.
Maybe you should check that all the settings in XBMC are setup for standard PAL too.

If you console is booting straight to that but you have left it in 480p or something, that might cause problems

Errr, you don't want to do that. Have a look for config magic. It's on the slayers install disk. Use it to check your video settings but be careful. You can totally fubar you xbox if you mess about with it.

I had this problem with my modded box on a standard crt when booting up my dash - which is xbmc, in the apperarence settings (in xbmc) make sure its set to auto.

I have the Slayers disc if needed. Why out of interest are you not using component with that Panny lcd?
