    DC asking for date

Hi, everytime I power up my DC (PAL) it asks for the time and date... Why's this? Is there some sort of battery in the machine like the Saturn has?

If you don't use it for a while the battery runs down. It should last for a couple of weeks. It's better than the Xbox.

Also the first way of playing imports was to disconnect the internal battery so there's a over so slight possibility it could be that too.

As a general rule of thumb leave it turned on for a few hours and plugged in after you've turned it off to charge the battery

I thought it kept the time and date settings on a VMU? Hence if your VMU batteries are dead, you lose the time & date.

Hmm... The VMU is "brand" new off Play-Asia, so I wouldn't think that that's the case.

Nope, The VMU sets it's time to whatever the console is (via the menu)

The console keeps it's own time seperatly. Similar to the way the Saturn used to do.
