Anyone know if using a 360 with a Plasma TV might cause problems??

Does anyone know if having connected the Xbox 360 via Component to a Samsung Plasma TV,could cause any kind of permanent damage????

I have this strange "blotching"with the pixels on the background specifically on the component picture, not with anything else on the TV??

Ive phoned Samsung, useless to be honest,im really giving up on the these HDTV's!!!ft:

    Thanks,please help...

Umm.. usually best way of fixing it is playing around with the settings on the TV itself.

I would recommend getting over to the avforums and doing a search for your particularly panel and seeing what settings are generally considered good.

I get colour banding with Sky+ (RGB SCART) sometimes, but not normally with my component signal, but I've got the majority of my settings set in the minuses.

Low resolution via component, perhaps? You're likely to get banding with some plasmas anyway but don't let that affect your experience of HDTV. HD is not the same as plasma/LCD

You can see the greenish pixels which look like blotches towards the right and the bottom of the screen???

Just for info, Shinjuku Highway has been banned as he had two accounts here (and this one was the most recent sign up).

I have the exact TV, I think you just have your settings up high in some strange combination. Or are sitting way too close!

Also, is the TV quite new? Plasmas do seem to settle down to a better picture once 'run in' for a few weeks. I didn't believe it til I saw it! Of course, the better explanation is I just got used to the plasma...
