Playing PAL games on a JAP ps2?

Is there a way to play PAL or US games on a JAP playstation 2. I dont want to use a mod chip and from what I can see swap magic is pal only. Sooo any ideas?

There's also a version of Swap Magic available for Jap PS2's but it's obviously a bit harder to find over here. Like the PAL version it won't play DVD9 import games but there aren't many (GT4, God of War, MGS3 & a perhaps a couple more).

That's a very good price btw as I think mine cost about ?17 new.

I've been using mine for a while now & it works a treat. Not had any probs at all.

If you're interested in playing import PS1 games on your PS2 then an ntsc (works with both Jap & US PS2's) Breaker Pro disc will do the job.
