It'll read most CDRs, but burn them slowly (4x) or it'll still have trouble.

My drive is that one, but there are no circles on it, and is completely plain other than the big circle in the middle...

Yes m8, that is indeed one of the rare and rather wonderful Samsung drives. Put a bit of toast in it, and it will load... They are the dog's m8, and are worth a bit on Ebay as well.

Yeah, that was an awful description. I was just trying to say, it is black and looks the same, with the circles in the centre, bot no holes like that one has.

If the hole in your tray is the same shape as a lightbulb, it is a Philips, and should play most CDR, if not its a Thomson and will only play CDRW
