Syberia UK version?

Picked up the second game a while back and for quite a while now I've been looking for the first game and so far have not found a copy.

Now can anyone confirm if the first game did get a UK release on the Xbox, I've seen a handful of box art pictures on the net but have never come across anyone who owns it.

So does it exist?

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing the first game when I worked for HMV (some years back mind you!).

Also there appear to be quite a few on Ebay doing the rounds so you should be able to get one easily there

Just done a search on ebay.co.uk and all I can find was Syberia II, which I already have.

But the first game would have come out at the start of the Xbox's life.

There's plenty of US copies doing the round on ebay.com but no PAL copies.

I think you might be right though I don't thnk I have seen a UK version of the first game on XBOX.

You can get a UK version for the PS2 though which is strange because you would expect it to come out on both formats!

I'm pretty sure the first game was PS2 only on console in the UK. I imported a US Xbox copy, because the PS2 one isn't a great port.

Out of interest, is Syberia II a good game? I've been thinking of getting it for a while and love Still Life which is by the same developer.

I bet there is an english language option, EU region games are made with the intention of being released in the whole of europe, the game has definately been translated into english so it will be there.

Sometimes if you look in little indy stores they will have grey imports like this (often in an english language box)

Thanks, looks like I'll have to take a trip down to dover.

Did a quick search myself and one website listed the PAL version as having French/English and Dutch langage options.

I'm the otherway round to you Kaladron, I enjoyed Syberia II and keep meaning to pick up Still Life.

It's an enjoyable point and click adventure, only problem is the game follows directly on from the first Syberia game. There is a story recap movie but that doesn't tell you everything and a couple of the early puzzles, like winding the train up, relate to Syberia directly.

So at the start of the game you feel a bit left out in the dark, but it's a very good game in it's own right.
