    Anyone know what's up with www.otaku.com.hk ?

I put ?1200 into their UK bank account 4 or 5 weeks ago for some Neo Geo stuff which was to take up to 8 weeks (they had to source some of the rare games) which was no problem.

Now their site has been down for about a week and any emails bounce back after a day or 2 of trying to get through.

Anyone any idea if this is temporary or permanent?

    Thanks for any help.

      Yeah, it doesn't sound good

I've dealt with them before and they were fine and to make matters worse I just put the cash into their HSBC account, nothing to do with my bank.

There is a parent website that I assume has something to do with them at www.otaku.com but they just seem to sell soundtracks and merchandise.

I'll give it a few days and then mail them to see if they are connected.

Isnt this the same Otaku that also sell on ebay?

If so you can try contacting them through that. Its a lot of money to lose so it is worth a go.

You know, I think I did see them on ebay first but I can't find them just now.

All I can find is otaku-uk and someone called otaku with only 10 feedback. I thought their ID was otaku-hk maybe but it doesn't show up.

If anyone knows it I would much appreciate if you could pass their id on so I can get in touch.

          Thanks

Im sure it was Otaku-uk that I dealt with on ebay. It might be the same company.

Thanks Atarian, that's a much better message than what I was expecting!

Now when I try to go to the webpage it's asking me to log in with a user name and password so at least they are doind something.

                :relief:

                  Hi,

                  and
UK based retailer of anime/manga/game related art books and CDs.

                  have nothing to do with

So no sending Otaku.com them nasty emails about what the com.hk company has done. Otaku.com are based in Japan and are a daughter company of Otaku.co.uk who are based in the UK.

Think I'm ok, I got an email through to them and they said everything is ok, just the server crash that someone mentioned earlier on.

Thanks for all the input guys
