Major Quicktime problem

I install Quicktime, and when I try to run it, it just doesnt open. no explanation, no errors. Nothing.

Anyone know why this is?

I had a similer problem where it would finishing installing properly, right at the end it just used to hang and wouldn't let me reinstall, in the end I had to search for all the files that were installed and delete them and also delete all the quicktime stuff from the registry, after that I restarted the computer and it installed perfectly.

You might like to try using Media Player Classic as your player, if it is just the Quicktime program that is the problem, and not the codecs or anything. Not necessarily a very satisfactory solution, but it might be a way around it. www.gabest.org/mpc
