    Surround Sound

Can't imagine how many times I've made a thread about sound but here's another one before I go out and get some surround sound headphones. I'm currently using cheap surround sound speakers which I'm running in sterio as there's no optical input. I'm just wondering if there's any hardware I can get which will actually let me output surround sound with the speakers.

Cheers for the help again guys

Edit - This was meant for the console section as it's for use with the good ol' 360

Bumping my own topic a little here but I was wondering if something like this would then allow me to use my 5 speakers and sub to actually get surround sound out of my 360 by plugging the optical lead into it.

I was also looking at this and wondering if that would work as it includes a decoder, not sure if it has optical in or not, can't make out from the picture.

If it says 5.1 dolby digital it WILL have an optical in.

I went ahead and brought the decoder I mentioned anyway so I shouldn't need to make anymore sound question topics. *Touch wood*

One last question, do I need to get something like this to link the front left and right into one wire which I would then put into the front output. Then another for the rear as the decoder only has 3 output slots and not one for each speaker.

          Cheers
