Help me prioritise these game purchases please :D

    Ibara
    Metroid Prime Pinball DS
    Homura
    Raiden III
    Ouendan DS
    Mushihimesama
    Gradius V
    Espgaluda

Most of them are PS2 shooters. Is there any chance of any these becoming hard to find before the end of the year? I plan to buy one of these each month and so need to buy the rarer ones first to save me frustration later in the year.

If I'm worrying needlessly then, place them in order of goodness.

I would make EspGaluda the priority shooter. The others are published by Taito who usually release a "best" version so it's likely they won't be hard to find for a while. Gradius V already has a best version, and is available in US/PAL too.

Do you have or are you planning to get a PSP? If so, I'd skip Gradius V and just get the Gradius Collection for the PSP, as it includes the ps2 game.

Thanks peeps. Much appreciated. There's no PSP purchase on the horizon, so I'll be sticking with the PS2 version.

The Gradius Collection does not include Gradius V as far as I know, just I-IV and Gradius Gaiden. There's no way the PSP screen could do it justice anyway, it's a beautiful game on a big screen

I'd say grab the DS titles in June/July/August, as that's (hopefully) when you're most likely to be outside more. Granted you could play the DS indoors too, but you can't take the others outside if the weather's good

Ouendan & Gradius V first, everything else later.

Ouendan first, and then the others whenever you get around to them

Save yourself a lot of money by buying Gradius V solely.

You need to concentrate on remembering what to do, if you play other games in-between sessions you'll never get a score much higher than 500,000 which will lead to a lot of anger.

                  Easily my favourite PS2 game.

100% confirmed. No Gradius V there at all.

Shooters are fair **** on the PSP anyway. Stars, shots and other fine details vanish thanks to pixel-fade.

I reckon I'll get ESPGaluda, GradiusV and Ouedan then and then the others after. Thanks all.

                        Mate! I got all those.
                        Why didn't ya ask me!
                        Without doubt... Ouendan first!!!
Then I would say ESP, Gradius, Ibara.
The shooters are hard and maybe too frustrating to make it fun and enjoyable.
Ouendan on the other hand is fantastic with it's great catchy music and perfectly placed hardness until you complete it...

Oops... apologies for misleading regarding Gradius V then... not that it mattered much though... .

But, I'd agree with the other posters and recommend you get Gradius V right away. I think they still sell them at Game for a fiver, but can't be too sure of that either I'm afraid. Hmm.. I'm pretty useless when it comes to "shmups".
