Which Xbox 360 games would you recommend?

I've had a console since launch but just haven't had the time to play it apart from PGR3 which I've found easy to dip in and out of. Having lost touch with gaming reviews both online and in print, I was wondering what 360 games are worth getting now I have a bit of spare time on my hands?

I'm looking to pop down to Game later today on my half day to pick some up.

Good online or offline, I'm open to suggestions.

Call of Duty 2 is fantastic offline, and now even more fantastic online thanks to the new patch. Dead or Alive 4 and Burnout Revenge are both well worth getting as well.

obivlison for single player, biggiest game ever. i not a RPG fan but this elders crolls rocks.


Ghost Recon for single player and great multiplayer, awesome fun.


Condemed short game but its so ricjh with detail and scary it draws you in and it feels so great.

Maybe Kameo if u got the money for that too.


Thats what I suggest, or wait for friday and get FarCry, but I think i skip that myself as oblivion is keeping me busy. LOL

Ghost Recon and COD2 both appeal as I'm trying to find something to replace the online antics of BF2.

What FarCry is coming out on Friday, I've lost track of the different versions?!

My most played are Amped 3, Call of Duty 2, PGR3 and Burnout Revenge.

I have GRAW but not been able to get into in so far

If you have lots of spare time everyone seems to love Oblivion but its not my type of thing

Far Cry Instincts Predator. It's 2 games really consisting of a slightly tweaked version of the original Far Cry Instincts (Xbox rather than pc port I think) with 'enhanced' graphics & a new game/chapter/expansion pack called Predator. It was released in the US yesterday so hopefully IGN, Gamespot etc. should have reviews up today.

Oblivion is amazing btw. I really don't have much time for rpg's usually but I'm 20 hours in and really enjoying it.

I think it's an upgraded version of the one that came out on the original Xbox, FarCry Instincts.

Another vote for Amped 3, really funny and great fun to play! shame theres no live 2 player though.

Burnout Revenge is worth getting if you didn't buy it on the Xbox/PS2.

Call of Duty 2 is one of the best things on it with excellent single player and after the latest patch good multiplayer as well.

Dead or Alive 4 is good if you like the other DOA games and looks amazing in HD.

GRAW is a lot of fun and definitely worth a look. It looks great, single player is brilliant, and multiplayer is good.

Oblivion is probably the best next-gen game yet and one of the best RPGs I've played in a long time. I didn't like Morrowind at all but this one is a massive improvement and just has the most impressive virtual world I've ever seen.

Thanks guys. Just back from Game where I traded in a whole load of stuff that had been cluttering up my cupboard.

I got TC:GRAW and a pre-owned CoD2 in exchange for the games and 96p.

Also discovered I had nearly ?30 on my reward card so have pre-ordered Animal Crossing too.

Can't wait to get online.

I also note that Oblivion is now rated as #13 all time, all platforms. Pinch of salt, obviously, but interesting to see.

It'll probably settle down the rankings in a few months because it seems that Game Rankings has the same problem as the IMDb where it shoots to the top when it's new but will fall once all the fanboys have blown their loads and had time to think about it. I remember on the IMDb when AOTC went into the top ten at first despite the fact that it was crap.

Plus the oldest game in the all-time top 100 is GoldenEye...
