Wanadoo USB modem on Xbox Live??

My brother is getting a 360 and his got a Modem (broadband) that dials up on his PC to connect, its USB.

How can he get this to go on his 360?
Obisouly he have to dial up to connect on PC, can he then plug it in his 360 or something.

    What does he do?

Internet Connection Sharing, or bridging connections. Look it up in windows help, there's a wizard.

Buy a router with built in modem.

Yeah, that's the best long term solution.

Failing that have a look at the MS way of doing it

Buying a router/modem and throwing the USB one out the window is by far the best solution since you can use other devices online easily (pretty much all networked devices have ethernet ports) and don't have to waste a USB port. Plus it's always on.

Otherwise you can set up Internet Connection Sharing which isn't ideal because you need to be in the vicinity of the PC and it can be affected by what the PC is doing. If you have a slow PC and someone's using it at the same time you'll probably get a lot of lag.

I try the ICS way but it says basicly click the internet connect choose propeties and advanced setting and tick share internet.

Problem is on his pc clicking advanced tab shows only FIREWALLs settings?
I thouht it was his pc missing something so tried it on mine and my neighbours and all of ours in advanced tab only has firewalls ettings.

Where do we get this ICS sharing internet setting in advanced tab??

ditch the usb modem. I was in a similar position a few months ago; had a free usb bb modem from aol. Gave up in the end, tried everything to get it to work with xbox live and had no luck.

Get a netgear router with modem built in, I had mine set up within minutes, its wi-fi and theres no lag whatsoever
