    PC Engine problem

    Hi all

I've got an original (white) PC Engine, and an LCD TV which can cope with most things I throw at it. The PCE worked on my old Sony CRT TV (I'm fairly sure, but it's been a few years, and I may have used it on an ancient Commodore monitor instead); but it doesn't work on this TV. I get sound, but no picture (or at best a very faint grey outline of the games' title screens).

It's powering on OK, and is connected to the TV via a SCART cable coming out of the side. This is plugged into one of those Argos SCART splitters; but I've also tried connecting it directly to the TV with the same result.

What's the problem? I've been Googling and searching here, but nothing seems to help.

Some other questions for you PC Engine bods out there:

    1. what's the Ch I/II switch for?
    2. what does the ant switch port do?
    3. Is the ext bus port for connecting it to the CD add-on?

I may have know these things once, but I've bloody forgotten them in the meantime...

    cheers
    g

Cheers for that - I've PMed him.

Update on the problem: it seems to be the scart cable itself. By fiddling about with it and checking all the wires were connected, I managed to get a pic for about ten minutes.

Then it stopped working again. Might need a repair.
