Missing sound device

Arrgggh. The computer has been acting real slow the last couple of days so i decided to have a spring clean and have mistakenly deleted the sound device from the add/remove programs list. Now windows media player won't play a single mp3 and all videos have no sound!

What can i do? I'm crap with computers!

Go into Add/Remove Hardware/device manager and Scan for Hardware Changes. Should find it for ya then

I tried that but it won't install it as it needs the original software apparently and then states when the computer connects to the net it will search for the neccesarry update!
