I have a series 10 satin silver (fat) PS2

Its been modded with a messiah 2 chip

its the first time i've tried but i think it has something to do with the on switch or the disc open switch and 4-5 seconds

but i cant get it too work

Booting PS2 Games (CD or DVD, DVD9 All regions)


Switch on the PS2 to STANDBY (redlight) and press EJECT to open the disk tray
Insert the game into the disk tray and press EJECT or RESET to close the tray and boot the game


Booting PS1 Games (CD or CD-R All regions)

Assuming the PS1 disk to be in the tray, put the PS2 into STANDBY more (red light)
Hold RESET (until the blue EJECT light comes on) then release reset


Disabling the Messiah 2 (e.g. PS1 anti-mod protected game)

Insert the relevant game into the disk tray and put the PS2 to STANBY (red light)
Hold RESET for 5 seconds beyond the moment when the blue eject light comes on
The game will then boot according to standard PS2 rules for the region concerned
The Messiah 2 is disabled until it has been put back to STANDBY and booted normally.

couldnt get it too work

tried for about 30 minutes and it just boots to my browser (memory card and disc page)

When i bought my PS2 with a Messiah 2 from Will @ london console it came with an instruction sheet and the method jeimuzu mentioned is correct. But first turn the machine off & back on at the back.

"when switching between the PS2 mode and the PS1/DVD mode, turn your console off with the main power switch at the rear of the machine".
