    Quality RGB Scart Block??

Have been using a 'Vivanco' RGB switchable Scart block, supporting 3 RGB enabled consoles and think it's about time i upgraded to something a bit better. The picture is very good through it, but i notice a bit of a ''patchwork' effect on certain textures when the games move (Particularly noticeable on the cars in Outrun 2)
Can anyone recommend me a really good switchable Scart block, that's reasonably(ish) priced and that won't suffer from noticeable picture quality loss? (Obviously has to be RGB enabled and have 3 or more inputs)
    Thanks in advance

How many sources do you need to switch?

Monster do a couple, ones a 3 way passive and the others a 4 way electric version. Failing that if you only need to switch a couple you wont go far wrong with one of the JS Tech switchers.

Thanks KrispyK. I ideally need to switch 3 sources. Which is better, a 3 way 'passive' or 4 way 'electric'?? I have no idea when it comes to all this tbh.
Any links to particularly good models,/places to buy them?
          Any help appreciated

I'm also after a new scart block, I have a vivanco 4 way thing (powered) and i notice if i put it ontop of my TV it causes a 50hz interference (Well techically it's 10hz) pattern on anything running at 60hz. 50hz stuff is fine. Moving it as far away from the TV helps, but theres still a slight shimmer at the bottom of the screen, especially noticable when the screen is bright.

I also do notice it slightly reduces the image quality, with faint travelling diagonal patchwork.

Yeah that's exactly the problem i get, like a patchwork effect. It's faint but it is there.
Really don't want to shell out a wad of cash on another RGB scart block only to get the same problem again

I have a Vivanco SBX 95SE AV Control 4. It has 4 scart inputs, 1 AV input, 1 S-video input and as a bonus it also takes 4 coaxical digital audio inputs. The quality is great and the switching is automatic.

Thats the exact same one i have I find it's ok, but as already mentioned the picture does have a slight diagonal pattern travelling across it on bright pictures. If you don't have that, you must have got a 'good' one

So does anyone know of a genuinely excellent one, that doesn't suffer from any noticeable picture deteriation?

What's wrong with the Argos one again?

I'm positive mine does not have this problem because I'm really sensitive to these sort of problems, in fact that's what made me get this one. The one I had before this was an unpowered scart split thingy and it gave some sort of interference when more than 1 cable was plugged it.

this one was cheap an has excellent picture

Alritey, got myself a budget option from maplin until I could afford a better solution, and i'm so happy with it I have stuck with it.

Got the 3 way switchable box, used for my ps2, xbox and GC, switching between them as you do.

Don't have much to compare to and I know it's doesn't have gold connectors or anything, but the picture is spot on, and the unit feels solid, with satisfying clicks from the buttons, always important.

                            http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...scart&doy=18m4

Worth a shout if you don't have one and are a bit skint.Plus if you don't like it, maplin are pretty good about taking stuff back(if store bought).Just say it didn't work or whatever.

Anyone else had any experience with these?
