I've decided to take the plunge and buy a new TV soon, mainly for my 360. Now, seeing as a lot of people have those Samsung LCD TV's I decided just to get one of those, only question is which model should I get? I want a 32 inch one, but there's a few different types.

There's a 32" CRT HD ready one coming out for ?350 soon I think, will try and find a link.
EDIT - http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/03..._ready_crt_tv/I'm considering getting one myself.

I'm considering a 32" samsung myself, after reading various A/V and gaming forums, the LE32R74 BDX seems good; it's one of the most recent ones released i think.
8 ms response time,
1300:1 contrast (the 5000:1 figure there refurs to the 'dynamic contrast' feature, 1300:1 is what the panel itself is rated at),and pretty much all the connectivity you'll need.
It's currently the one i'm aiming to get, unless someone points out a better one for the price before i have saved up the cash
That CRT mentioned above does seem interesting though, surprisingly thin front to back.Last edited by Rebelli0n; 15-04-2006, 10:55.

I have the 26" Samsung and yes the RGB connection is average at best... s-video is better but use component if possible (thinking for Cube/PS2). DC = VGA.
If you're buying it for the 360, get a VGA cable as it's sharper by running it at 1360x768 compared to component at 1280x720 which gets scaled a touch. Just knock the brightness down to 35-40 to bring the colour back.
Kron is right. They're cheap for a reason and have their flaws but I'm not complaining for the price.

The samsung's do the Hi Def stuff very well, but are a little lacklustre for Standard definition stuff.
I use mine for 360 (VGA), Upscaled dvds (HDMI) and freeview (built in) and I think its absolutely fantastic, I've found that since I've got my 360 I don't wanna play Ps2 games anyway. If your main console is PS2, don't bother, as it looks like Butt on any LCD even in RGB.

Depends on the screen really. PS2 over RGB Scart looks lovely for me, though you do notice more problems in the image (such as jaggies) than you would on a CRT.
480i really doesn't look that bad if your using a screen with a decent deinterlacer/scaler. Unfortunately most of the low end LCD's (namely the Samsung) have poor ones. The LG has a reasonably good one... not perfect, but enough to justify ditching my CRT.
