    DC RGB and My TV...

    Hola.

I own a Hitachi 21" CRT TV, it has two SCART inputs, one RGB, one composite/s-video?, and a front AV port. I have a fair few different channels.

    AV1 (for Composite SCART)
    AV2 (for RGB SCART)
    F-AV (for Front AV)
SVHS (for S-Video?, using same socket as AV1?)
and one called RGB, which is uses the same SCART socket as AV2.

I have a Competition Pro SCART cable, claiming to be RGB, seems fully wired too. It's fine using the channel AV2, but when I use the RGB channel on my TV, I can hear everything, but all I get is a black picture... my TV's defult picture is blue if theres nothing on/connected, so it must be getting some kind of signal.

Is it the cable being ****e? Do I *need* the official Sega RGB cable?

Or do I have to mod my machine? I don't fancy modding my R7 DC tho...

    ...I want RGB dammit!

I'm not sure about the tv / scart probs but can confirm that Jap DC's definitely output an rgb signal no modding required.

Its probably not got the auto switching RGB resister in the lead.

You could just buy another lead or put the resistor in the right place

Ah right. All I know is that the lead has 3 Capacitors, one for each colour I assume, so a good lead would have the 4th?
