New ver PS2s ilink and Ethernet.

These new PS2s that are out have lost the i-link port on the front right? So what about older linkup games like TC2 and GT3 can they still be linked but using the ethernet port? I seriously doubt it but can anyone shed any light?

link up games cannot be linked up with the new PS2, simple as that. It isn't possible to use the Network Adaptor on games that don't support it.

It is similar to the situation where the psone didn't have a link up port - no more psx link up games.

Sony must be encouraging developers to support the Network Adaptor with new games instead.

Seems strange when Nintendo are going the other way, using their network adaptor for link up play only.
