PSP Outrun 2006 port forwarding help

I'd really appreciate if someone could explain how I go about port forwarding to me. I have a Netgear DG834G wireless router, but alas my "can only use my laptop for browsing, MP3s and the odd word file" skills mean that my Outrun online experience has been troublesome at best with approx 1 online match played since I bought it. I'll need a full guide including what I should do with my PSP.

I think that is the sum of the Outrun 2006 online experience, whether you have port forwarding or not. It just doesn't work. Maybe not what you want to hear...

Well I just tried it out again and amazingly even without port forwarding I've just managed two games, I even hosted one of them. I guess its luck of the draw.
